A: The two closest airports to the facility are Piedmont Triad International in Greensboro, N.C. and Douglas International in Charlotte, N.C. They are both a minimum of a one hour drive and more depending on traffic conditions. Please keep this in mind when scheduling return flights. A: The closest hotel is located a minimum of 20 minutes away in Salisbury, N.C. The town has a population of approximately 25,000 and the amenities you might reasonably expect to find in a town that size. A variety of hotel options are available. Q: What meals will I be responsible for providing?

A: Hersey Meters School will provide lunch all three days and take you out for dinner one evening (usually on Wednesday). You will be responsible for breakfast and dinner the other two days.

Q: What can I do in my free time after class?

A: We are located in the heart of NASCAR country and a number of teams have their headquarters in the area if that interests you. Some are open for tours and just about all will be happy to sell you a wide variety of racing paraphernalia for your favorite driver. Golf courses are also plentiful, season and weather permitting. Charlotte and Greensboro are only an hour away by vehicle and they both offer a wide range of dining and recreation choices.
